It was the smell that first drew us in, then jealousy after seeing other people eating, once people started telling us how good it was we had to get involved. Located in George Square Gardens, Pad BKK prepare fresh Thai dishes with bags of flavour.
We ordered a Prawn Pad Thai to share, it seemed like a healthy option and was a welcome change from the numerous burgers and pizzas consumed over the Fringe Festival so far.
The Pad Thai came with prawn crackers which had a subtle kick of chilli, these were a great wee starter before the main event.
I usually stray away from noodles, finding them rather bland and annoying to eat, but the noodles in this meal were great. They weren’t overcooked and worked well with all the different textures of the meal, it helped that the sauce in which they bathed was incredible. The prawns were cooked perfectly and had soaked up some of the lovely flavours from the sauce and freshly squeezed lime, our only complaint was that we chose to share the dish, but Pad BKK can’t be blamed for that.
