50 Things to do in Edinburgh

50 Things to do in Edinburgh

After an inspiring read over at Little Mummy I started making my own list of things that I would like to do, I’m a big fan of making lists and love (eventually) ticking things off.

Rather than a bucket list I decided on making an Edinburgh to do list, whilst researching activities in Edinburgh I started to wonder what I have actually been doing over the past few years. Edinburgh has so much to offer and I seem to have ignored most of it. You can start to take a place for granted when you have been there long enough, I rarely even look at the castle when passing it on the bus these days – but if you stop and stare every once in a while you start to remember what a beautiful city Edinburgh is.

My plan is to enjoy everything Edinburgh has to offer, hopefully I won’t need to take out a second job in order to do so.

I will write about each of these 50 activities as and when I achieve them, it will be fun to write about more than just roasts and playgrounds (although they will still be on the agenda).

Compiling my list was very interesting, no doubt I have missed off some key events though so please leave a comment or drop me an e-mail if you have any further suggestions and I will add them to the list.

There are some things here that I didn’t even know about so will be looking forward to ticking these off in due course:

Love the idea of an Edinburgh list. I might make one for my daughter and I to do, there’s so much she hasn’t experienced yet.

You are right, there is so much to do, I’ve been locked away in Leith too long. Time to explore!
